StartUp Texas Seed Fund & Accelerator Program
We strive to help courageous entrepreneurs, creative business founders, and high-growth startups star in their own success stories, on the border by the sea. The StartUp Texas Accelerator is a highly competitive, intensive 10 - 15 week program designed to help companies effectively scale, properly evaluate market research, fine tune financial projections, all while creating valuable connections with local business leaders and fellow founders in the community. The StartUp Texas Accelerator utilizes the AdvanceUp Accelerator Curriculum built by the UTRGV Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center.
Selected founders will meet at designated times during the duration of the program at the eBridge Center for specialized workshops, mentorship sessions, pitch practices, and more. The program culminates in a public Demo Day event where each startup will pitch their company to the community and a panel of judges.
The StartUp Texas Accelerator has 3 cohorts for 2025 with Demo Day events that follow. Our programs are open to all entrepreneurs located throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

SBIR STTR Innovation Program
Summer 2025 • Provides businesses both funding and assistance in successfully applying for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer related research programs. In partnership with Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and UTRGV ECC.

Emerging Industries Program
Spring & Fall 2025 • The Emerging Industries track consists of companies that are involved in development of software, green-tech, bio-tech, heavy manufacturing, energy, and medical innovations. In Partnership with U.S. Economic Development Administration and UTRGV ECC.
